A friend of the family went out and bought a brandy new 2018 Expedition XLT (after me saying how much we like our 2017 Limited.
They are having issues with the alarm system.
Seems if they lock it the alarm will usually go off about 10 % of the time.
It might go off with in a minute or two of locking or hours later.
They have had it back to the dealer a number of times.
IIRC, the dealer has seen it happen.
And they have some Ford? app on their cell phone and apparently it logs it.
They are contemplating filing a lemon law procedure.
Is it possible that the dealer installed one of those add-on alarms to protect the vehicle on the lot? If so, therein may lie the problem--sloppy install or removal. On the other hand, if they did not, then I've got nothing to suggest.
