Hello.
No you should be fine, but if the old pump your are changing was leaking diesel into the crank case then I would definitely change the oil and filter. If your oil level hasn't been rising by itself your probably good. Just try to keep any dirt and old gasket material from entering the crank case when you pull it and clean up the surface.
