DRW 4x4 front rotors?

hi guys i have an 03 f350 DRW 4x4 truck. everywhere online shows 4x4 rotors or drw rotors with the hub adapters....

does this mean i can just buy normal 4x4 front rotors and reuse my adapters?

just want to be 100% sure. thanks in advance

I will attempt to list the requirements that you need to watch for when purchasing. The front rotors for a 1999.5-2003 F350 DRW 4x4 should all be the same diameter: approximately 13 inches. This will vary some but only by about .2 of an inch at most. Measure the diameter of the old rotors before you leave home and then the new ones while you are in the store. If they are close to 14.5 inches in diameter, they will not fit your F350 unless a PO has swapped the front end to an F450 front end....which I have seen. The offset for the 1999.5-2003 F350 DRW 4x4 should be the same too. The offset will be slightly different for the early 99 trucks which should not affect you but you do need to be aware of this. The offset is determined by the Hub Unit Bearing so unless a PO has put a e99 HUB in there, which is unlikely, you should be good to go.

You should only need to buy rotors. The adapter: I have heard it called the hat, the crown, spacer etc, is reusable and should be the same for all 1999-2003 F350 DRW 4x4's equipped with the DANA 50 or 60 as long as there was not a special order from the factory or a later swap.

Now, we will go into the weeds. I have been asked what gear ratio the front differential is. I personally do not know what if any difference this makes. Most came from the factory with the 4.10. Supposedly, there is a difference if you have the 4.88 or 5.38 gear ratio.....my take on that and I COULD BE WRONG, is that those are for the F450's. There is a ton of erroneous info in some of the data that most parts houses access.

Bottom line, I would remove the old rotors and take them to the store for direct comparison.

Hope this helps.

This will give you an idea of all the differences and possibilities for mistakes:

So your answer is yes. Reuse the adapters. Now the rear is a different animal. They don't all interchange.
