Another 4X4 question

I just notice when I engage 4 wheel drive on my 96 EB, I can click on the 4X4 Low button but the light on the dash nor the button light is lit, any ideas as to why ? Also I'm also wondering if my tires are engaging 4X4, I hear 4X4 engage but I don't think the wheel are locking.

in the owners manual it states that you must be level engine off and in nutreal to shift to low range pardon the spelling boss is looking over my shoulder.

Another 4X4 question

you should be able to shift into 4low with the engine running and the tranny in neutral. if your hubs are worn then you might look into getting some manual locking hubs. they are stronger and more reliable.
