BUT ... you have to keep in mind there are other aspects to consider beyand lug nut number and circle size ... like (my terminology escapes me) how deep the mounting surface is set back in relationship to the face of the rim. This aspect can affect the way the suspension works and a whole bunch of clearances.
Find a good wheel site and I'm sure you'll find a more in depth explanation and details.
thanks clydes s dale (that cracks me up)
you're probably correct. what happens on these reversed rim set ups.....does that affect the steering a lot?
anyway thanks for the advice
it affect a lot of stuff, but a lot of it depends on how/what kind the suspension is. plus if you have a small backspacing, it also widens your track, which is bad if you just widen the front.
if you do the reversed backspacing your wheels will stick waaaay out, like them kids and the low riders... really bad for your suspension. but for the kids with them on there trucks they dont care.. heh they ripped out the suspension anyways...

hey marty:
if u r really interested in a bench seat............i just took my out about an hour ago.........putting in some buckets......seats that is lol
the bench is in pretty fair condition, vinyl......one tear about 4" long just beginning on the drivers side. i was about to repair it when i found the buckets. the color is maroon....or wine...or dark red.......that area anyway.
it might be for sale fairly reasonablely, or trade, in a day or two.......soon as i convince myself that i have the bucket seats installed
