We have two quality viable manufacturers left in Oregon. Northwood and Host.
We just had new TT manufacturing place open up just down the road in our little hicksburg. So far, no TC's and when I checked the company web site, it seems they are a nation wide outfit with numerous lines, up to and including 'Park Models'. Everything they do is built on wheels with a trailer hitch of one type or another.

I don’t have any answer, but we spent all last summer out West and would never do it again. If I want to see that many tour buses I can just go to Gatlinburg. That’s a whole lot closer and I save a couple thousand miles of driving and hear just as many generators in the National Forest!
I live in California and I don't blame you a bit! Just a few more years before I say GOOD RIDDANCE....the rest of my comment can't be posted! It would be the truth and people in my area can't handle the truth!

Yellowstone is very busy in the summer time in fact it isn't even a wilderness area anymore. If you live out East and want to visit Yellowstone you might as well go to Central Park.

But in Central Park I bet you don't have to try to squeeze your rig between idiots who don't know how to park their rented Class Cs!

Around here, when you see those RV's with big fancy murals and "See America - Rent me 800-XXX-XXX" painted prominently on them, that is the signal to get your lawn chair, beer and prepare for a half hour of entertainment. Watching them try to pull into the campground, maneuver amongst the trees and pull into parking pads 2' narrower and 4' shorter than their rigs are wide and long provides a lot of entertainment when the fishing is slow!

When I see a rental the first thing I think is to break camp and leave, especially if they are pulling in next to you.

i hate the idea of having to pay to camp in a camground surrounded by a hundred other people within feet. id rather stay home and have less people around or camp at a off shoot road or trial forsure for free without all the people..

Is that all it takes? I'm going to put some rental stickers on my trailer then.

Yep. What he said. I can't stand over-filled campgrounds, either.

Skip, last year we managed to get all of Tangle Lakes campground to ourselves. Of course, there was 6-8" of freshly fallen snow but it was epic. Huge northern lights at 2am the following morning. And no one around except the people we took with us.

Sometimes I like busy campgrounds.

I just hate campgrounds with people running generators. That's just pathetic.

And I hate the camp Alcatraz's. Where you're trapped in a prison and an old bit%h keeps scolding you for all kinds of lame stuff that doesn't matter. IE:
-you can't ride a bicycle to the shower house after dusk
-ditching the truck and trailer and unloading the DRZ400s and riding into town is just too confusing to them.
-fire can't be more than 4" tall despite the giant steel camp ring
-can't enter or leave the park at night
etc. etc.

And the answer is? My wife and I get so frustrated with this stuff we have considered giving up camping altogether, but we can't figure out what to do instead.
