I just picked up my first Superduty truck. It's a 2004 F250 regular cab 4WD XL model. I really like it. It has the rubber floor mat and I'd like to put another rubber mat in the footwell. I looked at weathertech and husky and they either don't work with my floor mounted manual 4wd lever or "not recommended for rubber floor covering". What do you guys with the oem rubber mat do for footwell mats?
my 2004 didnt have any when i bought it but it wasnt new either. i had the paper dealer ones in there for a couple days till i just bought some off the rack ones for the front.. since mines a CC i used a dark colored area rug to span across the back. i didnt like the look of the 2" tall lip on the door side for the WT mats. thought id always end up catching or tripping on it getting in and out of the truck.
I just buy the ones at Walmart or "Auto[Pick-your-Place]". Just get the heaviest duty ones they have. Usually about $15. Generic ones may allow you to trim the outside edges with scissors to fit the best.
I used husky in my 99 with rubber floors. They moved a bit more then normal but didn’t bother me. And came with a spot to trim out for my floor mounted shifter.
