Trans. Quarts ?

Just rebuilt the trans on a 86 areostar with a A4LD overdrive.
Not one book shows how many quarts of tranny fluid to put in.
The torque converter is empty. does anyone know?

I think the A4LD is about the same size as a C4.
The book I had said the C4 holds 4 qts in the body & 4 qts in the converter for a total of 8 qts.
So when I rebuilt my A4LDs & drained the converters I put in 8 qts.
