Hello everyone I have a 89' Aerostar 3.0 V6 Electric everything w/rear a.c and I was wondering if anybody has or knows what the original oem amps rating for the alternator and battery is?

I've been calling the dealer and auto parts stores and they all have the same response "tell me what you have" When I bought it did not have the originals in so it's really hard to tell them it is 60,75,90 etc, I would like to know so I don't under power the van.

I'll appreciate any suggestions??

Possibilities were 65, 70 and 80. Most of them I know of had seventy but a lot of people complained that was not enough with dual AC and all the electrical.

I had a 70 in my 1990 4.0L and changed it to an 80 and love the difference. Don't know if there are long term issues with increasing the amps, but it's great now.
