What brakes do you all recommend to get rid of all the dust. I dont think I have had any factory brakes throw this much dust off. I am considering changing them.
Had Hawk pads on both of my Excursions. Dust reduction was only a side effect, the real benefit was eliminating build-up on the rotors and the subsequent brake shuddering / vibration.
Organic pads give the best braking performance and less damage to the rotors, as you move up to ceramic and harder materials you get less dust but more heat and damage to the rotors, weigh your options. Is it really that bad to wash your truck once a week?

Right now yes, awaiting back surgery for 5 blown discs. weighing the cost of new brakes vs having a detailer wash my truck for me once a week.

Not sure where you heard organic gives better brake performance over ceramic?? I’d like to see that study. Organics do have benefits such as being quieter and having less dust. And I do agree with ceramic being harder on rotors. But most rotors today are a one and done. Where there used to be a brake lathe in every part store, they are almost a thing of the past. Most places went away from turning rotors because after you turn them to get them smooth again they are barely within spec. Then they are more prone to warp and need replacing before the new pads are even 50% used. Point being, the extra wear on rotors is irrelevant if you are replacing them when the pads wear out anyways.
I just turned over 10K miles on my F-350. For the first 2K miles I had the same issue. Now, it doesn’t appear to be as bad. Perhaps there’s a break in period.
heavy dust on my 17 f250 cc deisel for first few thousand miles. did roadtrip of 500+ miles last weekend no noticeable dust on wheels. 4500 miles on truck
