Hey all, can't shift old bruce into 1st gear on the column shifter (c6). Crawled under to adjust shift linkage and finally figures out the problem that's been there almost two years; the shift arm is running into the kickdown lever for the kickdown cable.
Thinking on cutting a notch in the shift arm and welding a C shaped plate where the notch is to re-inforce. Thoughts?
What is the C6 from? The car C6 manual control selector lever (shift arm on trans) is different than an F100/350. Plus, there are several different F100/350 levers.
The 1973/74 C6 360/390 kick down rod is different than the 1975/76 version.
77 F-150 2wd, 400 c6. Had a kickdown rod stock but can no longer use it; the FiTech throttle body doesn't have linkage for it. Using the Autoloc kickdown cable setup.
I thought the truck is in my signature but can't see signatures on my phone.
here I just thought I couldn't get all the way into first because the linkage was hitting the header.
