Number Dummy motor question
Bill,
I found a generator with a Ford motor that looks a lot like my 215 with the distributor in the same place and the exhaust angles toward the back like a 215. The valve cover is different & I'm sure there are other differences too, but it looks close. This unit was built in 1999, the Ford motor numbers are CSG-6491-6005-A, serial #0179-B-13-RA. Any thoughts? Could this be used in our trucks?

Thanks Gary. I looked at some pictures of a 300 and it looks like you are correct. Many years ago I had a 1980 with a 300 6 cyl. but didn't pay any attention to what it looked like.
