New O2 new codes. I don't think it should work that way. smh Now the codes are 21, 24, 25, 34, 41, 77. 13 is gone. It never did ask me to rev.

Codes 21 and 24 are probably because you did not let the engine warm up enough. Code 25 is being caused by not doing the goose test, just like code 77 is. 41 is your old O2 code that is still there, you need to make sure the engine is fully warmed up for that also. Did you figure out that mystery wire?

Did you replace your O2 ?
The O2 wire runs behind the engine, from passenger side to drivers side, see page 46 of the EVTM.

How are you checking codes? What are you using?

Yes, just did it. 21 and 24 went away. I'll have to retest tomorrow and do the goose. I miss read the book. 10 means rev, I thought it meant done. Neighbors are having a dinner party on the patio and wife says, I have to put my toys away and play nice. They weren't happy with my idea of ambient back sounds of an old truck being worked on. It is running better and no surges. The rich smell is gone also. The wire to the old O2 was soldered to the exhaust manifold.

Look around your Drivers side wheel-well (apron), is there a 3 wire connector there, purpleish, redish & yellow/whiteish ?

I would pull that harness apart and see where that wire goes and see if you can find were it went. That is the computer harness, it's not good having loose wires in there.

Wire

This wire comes from under the fuel relay area. There is two. Yellow and green and black and purple. I agree with you.

You have a link to Gary's site with the 86 diagrams correct? Print that off, pull those wires out of the looms and have some quiet time to figure out what is going on.

Wire

Had it out there today. All I can think of that not in that diagram is it used to have cruise control and it went to that.

Okay. Done all things suggested. I even cleared out all codes and started fresh. * new O2, EGR, and EVP.... test R 44, 34 codes. Test O and C both 11 codes. I fell like I'm 2/3s the way there.

Code 34
sometimes the shaft on the EVP is to long.
measure the output.
shim the EVP as mall amout, re-measure, run self test, repeat if no improvement.

Thanks. Can you give me a few more details? How to shim and what should the output be?
