I have a 1997 7.3L and have coolant leaking into the crank case. It is draining the whole coolant tank in less than a minute. The engine is running rough and white smoke is coming from the exhaust pipe. I have read several posts saying it could be the head gaskets, the front cover, the oil cooler or a cracked block. Most all of the other posts seem to talk about it leaking slowly. So I was wondering if the symptoms for my truck could be narrowed down since it is leaking so fast. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for any help
a little back story. The truck broke down about 4 years ago so I put it in the shop. There it sat for 3 years. So I’m not sure if there was coolant or water in it. I wasn’t in a rush for it because it was a spare truck I kept around because my son has wanted it since he was little. The guy finaly told me he made too much money working on the 6.0 Diesel’s to take the time to work on mine. So I brought it to another shop and he got it running and discovered it is leaking coolant into the engine. So I brought it home to see if I can figure it out. I’m not sure if it’s steam or just white exhaust gas coming from the exhaust pipe. Looks like it’s the injector on the passenger side nearest the fire wall that shows no change when I unplug it
