We have a Touchless Car wash that i go to been through it twice,No Damage that i can see
the Removing the Antenna is a good idea Spray and Dry Air whip it around a bit but i could see
if it came loose it would do damage to the Body,Also those Quarter car wash here are terrible
You're right there is always Crap imbedded in the Brush or its frozen over with shush that looks
like Baby ****e.Another thing are those stubby Antenna's any good?

There`s a very good chance that you`ll lose some reception quality with the stubby antenna.
Go to a do it yourself car wash where you insert some quarters and you get a high pressure hose and a soapy brush. They only cost $2-5 depending on how much time you want and they do a great job....
This would work out well for the person who doesn`t care about the paint being all scratched up because any brush or soapy brush will scratch the paint.

That's not true at all. I've washed at least at least a couple of dozen late model and classic cars that way and never scratched the paint on any of them including my Chevelle. Do you see any scratches on it?
I took my '15 through a soft-touch wash dozens of times without an issue. I never noticed any scratches, but I'm not the kind of guy to get bent out of shape over minor scratches in the clearcoat. I've found that touchless washes don't seem to do anywhere near as good of a job, so I tend to avoid them.

How can anyone looking at that pic of your car, which you`re so proud of because you`re always posting it, can see if there are any scratches on it because if you get close enough and under the proper lighting, there will be micro scratches on it and i`m sure some of those scratches were caused by the brushes in the car wash that you said don`t scratch the paint.
I stand behind what I said about the brushes in a car wash but so if you or anyone else don`t believe they do scratch the paint, even micro scratches, then i`d say keep enjoying running your vehicle through the car wash of your choice.
Now you're talking "micro scratches"? Are those the ones you need a magnifying glass to see? LOL. Don't you have anything more important to do that worry about "micro scratches"?

Maybe your eyes are so bad that yes, "you," need a magnifying glass to view them but said micro scratches and other scratches on that thing in the pic i`m sure can be seen in person.
Don`t you have more important things to do than to worry about the opinion of a person`s view on the brush or brushes scratching the paint or a car in a car wash.
I know personal preference, I have seen allot of debris in those foamy Pink Brushes
and the extreme high pressure if the paint has been hit by a stone and you hit it with
the high pressure it may flake the paint off,I've seen it happen, that's why i like the
touchless, no brushes, Looks like that shinny Red car has been repainted, Did you
restore it you would know what 25c car washes do.
I just got a new pair of "Coke bottle" glasses a couple of months ago and could care less about "micro scratches" to be honest with you. I'm defending my local car WASH (not car "was") which has clean, soft brushes that don't scratch the paint. Besides, it's a damn truck so what's the big deal? Grow the hell up and get a life....
..just me, but I wouldn't send my truck through any car wash, I hand wash, especially a new truck that I spent a pretty penny on, Think about it, do they really assure that those brushes are free of sand and dirt, and imagine it spinning around on your truck,
Come on guys...we're better than this. Enough of the bickering, please.
I agree. I really just wanted to know if the aluminum body would pose any problems in going thru an automatic wash. I got my info and I went thru one the other day without an issue. I didn't want to start anything like this. I'm sorry.

Wondering why you would think the aluminum would be a problem. It's an alloy and a pretty tough one to boot. Have you seen this?
