Hi guys! This is my first post. I’ve been looking and looking for writeups about bagging our body style trucks. Not that much to be found. I’m ready to start acquiring parts to bag my old truck. Don’t drive it often, and honestly always wanted a bagged truck. Currently 5” drop on the front with lowering springs, and dream beams and a flip kit on the back. My question is(other than personal preference about how it looks) is what is the reason why there aren’t many with airride?
There are lots of these trucks with airbags. Most people install them to level a loaded truck though. I've got the Firestone Ride Rite airbags on my truck. Install was simple, four holes need to be drilled for each airbag, then the rest is all bolt on. If you want to install a compressor too there is probably room under the drivers seat. I plan on installing an air brake tank and the compressor down there. The tank comes with mounting flanges, and I'll use the trans crossmember as one of the mounting points.
