E-150 Lifted?

Can I lift my 89 E-150?
Is it a bad idea, ie: center of gravity?
Thanks, Tom

It's not a bad idea. It's still safe to lift a vehicle. When you put wider tires on it it sort of cancels out the rollover chances...it doesn't completely cancel it out, but you want wider tires with a lifted truck for stability. How high are you thinking of going? My truck is approx 9" higher than it was when it came off the assembly line (6" lift and 35" tires), and it's fine.

well Its a stock 89. I just put new snows (235-75-15) on it. I was curious about a 2"-4" lift, but really am ignorant about tire size vs. lift. If I did want a 2" or 4" lift, what would be good sized tires? Also, do the lift kits for the F series work for the E series vans?
Thanks,
Tom
