I have been trying to figure out where to install an antenna for a we boost cell booster, and decided to mount it onsite the radio antenna. I fabricated a small bracket that works like the radio bracket & fits under the bolt for the fender. I thought that I would share as I have seen some questions that people have had about installing an antenna for the we boost. It does not get in my way from the driver's seat, but I do notice it. It is almost inline with the pillar, so it really does not get in the way. I do wish that the top of the antenna was not as thick, but the coverage is awesome, so I would do it again. From the picture it looks taller than it is, but it is about an 1" taller than the cab.
I am running the Drive 4G-X OTR Truck kit (SKU: 470210). I have it mounted all the way in the back behind the rear seats. The coax was just long enough. I have power coming from one of the uplifter switches. As for a picture of the bracket, I don't--I should have taken a picture. I will try to get one tomorrow.
I think I'd go incommunicado before I put the monstrosity in post #1 on my truck.
Agree, it looks so strange almost like a Tikki Torch instead. I realize its functionality, but imagine if it come off and hit the biker behind you on the freeway.

I'd never considered that. But I just might be that biker!
Thanks for the tiki torch reference. I knew it looked like something familiar but I just could not place it.
