I've used the hill descent many times in greasy mud and it does indeed work.
The skid plates are good enough for what this truck will do and I high centered my F350 a few times. Plus I am not going to buy and install them for this price.
Never had a single problem with the "Rancho" shocks on my last two trucks and they were used extensively on gravel and road allowance roads.
The hill decent is a joke. Have it in my 14, don't see any difference. So basically the fx4 package is now stickers. Nice. I don't see a camera by the ford emblem in the front so I think I'm going to be surprised eith all the stuff my truck don't have that I thought it did.
i mean no offense, but how would you not know what options it does or does not have? Not only is it listed on the window sticker, but shouldn’t you have spent some time at the dealer playing around in it to make sure it had what you wanted?

did you build your Rig? It tells you what comes standard and what you get with each option. The only time you should be surprised is when yyouj g get bonus stuff that you didn’t pay for or ordered.
Not trying to sound rude but you really need to do your homework as even builds online can get crazy. It the information is there just not user friendly. Buying off the lot is a. Lot easier but you’ll not likely get everything you want. FWIW The hill decent works. On my rig. Tested it. Today
Yes I built it and ordered it. FX4 always came with better shocks, skid plate and box decal. Just like a z71 off road chevy. Shouldn't have to read into detail to findthey decide to not include shocks anymore
The FX4 shocks were never better. They were Ford shocks painted Rancho colors with a Rancho sticker on them and always had a higher reported failure rate than the standard black Ford shocks.
