2wd to 4wd conversion question

So I’m considering combining a 78 supercab 2wd with a great body and a 78 supercab 4wd with a rough body. Is it easier to do a body swap or install a front axle, t-case, and steering? With a body swap there’s the steering column, and maybe floor center, but the other way there are lots of small things.

body swap, the frames are quite a bit different.
