Front fender removal
If they have never been removed before, some will be difficult to break loose. Use some penetrating oil on the nuts, most of which will be of the molded into a clip or tab type. There are three carriage bolts (blind fender bolts) which are held on to the inside edge of each fender along the forward door edge (picture).
The nuts for these bolts are accessed through the inner side of the cab, near the door hinges. As I recall, the top two bolts on each side are accessed this way. The bottom bolt is connected through a forward tab which is part of the step. The nuts on these blind fender bolts frequently get rusted on, making disassembly a real treat. In the case of the lower bolt, many times the entire step area has been rusted away. This can easily become a two person job in order to get all of the bolts removed. Be prepared to replace all of them if they are originals.
