I know answering this question will probably take some time and effort but I have been wondering about it for years. I do my best at searching for answers before posting questions. Beating a dead horse kinda thing ...
Here's the question. When using Auto Enginuity scanner what parameters should be used to monitor and troubleshoot fuel injection issues? Obviously injector pressure but what other parameters and please explain what ranges are normal and what out of range indicators point to what failing components.
I've read a lot of great detailed threads that explained how the injection system works but never have read how to set up the Auto Enginuity parameters. There may be some out there, if so please point me to them.
Thanks in advance.
NEVERMIND, FOUND A THREAD LINK IN A TECH SECTION
Suppose I need to learn the correct words to search for.
We are all here to learn, don't worry about being a Newbe, everyone here was one at some point. The majority of the people here are willing to offer their knowledge without being condescending or telling you to go do a search. I'm on a few forums and there's always that one or two that forgets they were a Newbe at one point and acts like they've always known everything and are ***'5, you don't really see that here. s
Thanks for understanding. I joined here some years ago when I first got my 7.3 but you're right, I'm still basically a newbie. I have lurked here off and on over the years without logging in gleaning information when I needed it. At first I had lots of questions and folks here helped a lot. Had a good run of no truck problems so drifted away from coming here (except for lurking). Life gets busy ya know.
I'm a moderator on a Harley forum so I know how the using the search function is faster and usually give way more knowledge than you need. Nearly always somebody else has already had your problem unless you own something new that just came out.
You're correct, lots of nice guys with sound knowledge hanging out here. Wish I knew half as much as some of these guys.
Thanks again.

Hey axmrdr! Even though you were probably here before me, I wanted to say Welcome to FTE!
To make this thread better, can you post a link to the thread you found? I really like when a thread contains the answer to a question, even if the answer is a link.
Thank you for the re-welcome. ;-)
Great idea, I have edited the first post to include the link.
You're correct. I hate reading a 4 page thread of somebody getting good advice and then the OP never gives a final reply of resolution to say if all of the great advice fixed it.
Thanks for the suggestion.
