Hi all,
I’ve just acquired a couple of classic vehicles due to a bereavement - one of which is a 1957 F100, lots of work had been carried
out including body/paint/wiring & some interior. I’am due to have this vehicle delivered within the next week or so but was
wondering if any bright spark could tell by sight what V8 motor was lurking beneath the hood ? as this looks like where work
will to be done to compliment the work carried out so far - she is a runner.
It is a runner but needs tidying

1957 could have either a 272 2V or 292 2V "Y" block V8 .. But this isn't a Y block or any other Ford V8. Looks like a Chevy V8 was swapped in.
If this LHD F100 was sold new in the US (has a US license plate), post a pic of the Rating Plate, located on the inside of the glove box door. The VIN and all the codes stamped on it can be decoded.
btw: The hood front emblem is from a 1965/66 F100/1100 & 1967/69 F800/1000 with V8 gas engines.
The engine is definitely "Brand X", most likely a 350. Although it is kind of hard to tell for sure, it appears somebody has also installed a Camaro suspension clip under the front end. The master cylinder and booster are also GM while the radiator is Mopar.
