1980-1986 a pillar inserts
Does anyone know where to find "A" pillar gauge inserts for these trucks? I find from 1987-1991 and 1992-1996. And i have seen a headliner plastic insert that was molded to fit various speakers and stereo items toward the back of the cab near the window where normally would be dead space. i think it was 1989 OR 1990 F150 has anyone ever come across any of these? im restoring my 84' and would love to class it up. thanks.
What you can do is if you have stock ones in ruff shape is to make your own.
Find that gauges you want to used and tin cans that the gauge fits in and using fiber glass mold them to your parts.
I also think there was a write up on this in here or maybe it was for my other project?
I say do a search for gauge pods and see what turns up.

I'm not sure but I thought the A and B pillars were identical for 80s and 90s trucks. LMC may be able to tell you.

They don't know diddly-do, because these are minimum wage clucks that take phone orders for Chevy, Dodge and Ford trucks.
1980/86 F100/350 and Bronco use the same A pillars. but there are TWO types: With or without a headliner.
1987 and later are different.
Cut the ends off, law it over your original A pillar trim and mark where to cut. A few dabs of superglue to hold it together, then fiberglass with mat and epoxy resin on the backside. I used PlastAid to bond the front and mold it to match the old shape to new. Drill the hold for the center retaining screw and chamfer it. It came out well enough for a daily driver and with some practice could be matched better.
