Where does that gray Christmas tree clip push into? Mines not pushed in anywhere and seems like it should be.

doesnt look like his was either. the teeth on the tree are not marred up like they would be if they were pulled out. unless FIzn's a master at removing them things undamaged..

The early cords were one piece. I’m not sure where there was a design change to two piece, and if the change was for assembly ease or forthought to in-service problems. It sure would have been cheaper for the consumer to purchase just the front section of the cable when the plug gets damaged. From what I’ve seen in the service parts group recently, I’m not sure they would want two part numbers for a heater cord and might have made a decision to just sell a complete cord and reduce inventory.

Fifteen amps is not a problem to incorporate a DIY solution.

dont know where it goes it wasn’t connected to anything. Ran out of time to look for it’s home so I just stuffed the cord back with the driving lights.

The keeper on mine was not connected either. It had two zip ties holding it up in place. It hung down low enough I was afraid it would catch on something and tear off. I have an aftermarket bumper and was able to fish it up between the bumper and grill. Now it sits on the bumper behind the grill guard. It’s much easier to get to.

That being said, I still don’t understand the two piece cord. Or whether or not the three prong plug portion is available by itself anywhere.
