6.0 Mods and CA emissions testing
I just picked up an 06 6.0 F350 CCLB DRW as my tow rig and I'm looking to tow a 15k loaded 5th wheel toy hauler to the dunes.
Mods so far are Edge Insight CTS2 w/EGT probe and a street tune.
I just got a 4" MBRP 409 sst steel turbo back exhaust for her this weekend, I just haven't put it on yet.
I'm going to convert to the BPD air-to-oil oil cooler system w/the BPD EGR cooler and their billet water pump.
I'm having the cab pulled, heads sent out for a full reman including all testing, hardened valve seats installed, radiused valve job and o-ringing.
The machine shop offers a porting upgrade that concentrates on the bowl/seat area that yield intake airflow gains of 18-23% and exhaust airflow gains of 14-18% over stock.
This all translates into lower egt's, lowers boost, increases efficiency and increases power and the heads are made to work well with factory or performance cams.
I'm also looking at the new soon to be CARB legal Odawgs S2R Cast Intake Manifold that retains the EGR valve.
ODAWGS S2R 6.0 Ported intake manifold
This manifold increases air flow 46% over stock.
Oliver at Odawgs told me to run the River City Diesel Stage 1 drop in camshaft, new set of OE lifters and a set of PSP pushrods and never look back.

I eventually want to upgrade to a KC stage 2R ball bearing turbo, 190/30 injectors and a regulated fuel system.
Are any of you guys familiar with the RCD stage 1 cam and how/if it affects the california emissions test with a stock tune?
And can I have Innovative Diesel Performance cut me a custom tune to control the injectors with a mild tune in the ECU and enable EGR function and be good to go with the CA emissions test?
Thanks in advance.
Chris
