Turn signal switch wire identification
The 1986 version should be mostly correct for a 1982 with a few small differences.
- Someplace around 83/84 Ford added wiring for a key-in-ignition buzzer, that's in the 1986 version.
- Somewhere in the mid-80s(?) they stopped using hashes & dots as the tracer colors on the wires and used only stripes.
You never gave us any specifics as to year & configuration of what you're working on so I just chose a manual from Gary's site *****-nilly but yes, there is also a 1981 version out there and that one might be closer to what you actually have on your 1982.

Orange/lightblue is the brake/turn going out to the rear pass side light
Lightgreen/orange is the brake/turn going out to the rear driver's side light (you have that as a green/red)
White with red hash is the hazard signal coming in from the hazard flasher. The diagram shows this red/white hash, and then shows it white/red hash.
The yellow has lightblue dots on it( I can see it in the picture). This is power to the horn
I need to go, I can get back on it later. I am using the diagrams in this link Lights: - ???Gary's Garagemahal and this link. Horn, Speed Control, & Cigar Lighter: - ???Gary's Garagemahal
The key to the whole thing I found out, the connector you have in the picture is c305. So anywhere in the diagrams c305 shows up, there will be one of your wires.

White/blue stripe is the front pass side turn lights. There is a double wire because one goes out to the front lights, the other goes up to the cluster for the indicators in the dash.
Lightgreen/white is same as above, goes to the front driver's side light and also goes up to the cluster dash indicator.
I can't find the two white/red stripe wires.
lightgreen is the signal coming in from the brake pedal
Thank you very much for helping me out with those. I also cannot find the two white/red stripes, but can now see where you got the others from.
As you can probably tell, wiring is not my field of expertise.
I have a 1983 according to the vin, but the wires on the 1983 part and harness don't match the female 305 connecter on my bronco. There has been work done that was not mentioned when I bought it, including swapping out the straight 6 for 351 windsor, so it's frankensteined some. I'm tired of banging my head against the wall and figured I would try here.
If you can tell in the pictures below, i have a light blue / red stripe where there is nothing on the picture above, and nothing where the two white / red stripe wires are. The parts store swears its the right one, but clearly something is amiss.

Please note the various color codes Ford used really only applied to the vehicle harness. The wires between the switch itself and the big quarter round connector? Those are vendor supplied. For all we know, a vendor could have supplied them all in white or pink or chartreuse. The only aspect which matters is what is connected at the end of each wire.
At the time, Ford may have specified OEM parts would follow a specific color code. But aftermarket parts 40+ years later? "Hey, we've got all this white wire so lets use it up."
The moral of this heart-warming tale? Don't rely exclusively on color codes for any vendor-supplied wiring.
