Mirrors

i just picked up a pair of type 9 mirrors with the square backs. They are surprisingly in very good shape, and not seized at all. Does anyone know if the stainless steel rivets for the swing arm and the 2 small stainless steel rivets in the bottom of the mirror can be acquired somewhere. Thanks.

The Type 9 mirrors came with the heads, but the heads were also available by themselves. No other part was available.

Ford furnished the mirror heads separately but the brackets were only available with the mirror.

Ford referred to West Coast mirrors as Western Junior mirrors. There are two types of Western Juniors: TYPE 2 Swing-Lok and TYPE 3 with the 3rd "steady-rest" arm.

TYPE 3 were usually installed on Camper/Trailer Specials because they stick out past the cab.

Lower pic: Type 3 Western Jr. mirror with 3rd "Steady-Rest" arm.

The mirror head is the same for the 1967/79 TYPE 2 & 3 mirrors (C7TZ-17723-A), but the 1973/79 TYPE 3 brackets are different than the 1967/72 TYPE 3 brackets.
