I'm looking to remove the silver bezel that goes around the AC vent/ 4WD switch to get access to the dash area behind the AC vent. I am looking to drill 2 holes through the black plastic as indicated in this picture so I can use a machine screw & nut to solidly mount my Ram Mount for my cell phone. I will probably use a piece of aluminum behind the black plastic to reinforce this area as well. I have thought about just
using a screw through the black plastic as well as 3M double sided tape(the tape isn't strong enough on it's own) but if I can get behind this trim piece and use the machine screw/nut I would prefer to do that.
Thanks in advance for any help/pictures someone can provide.
hope this helps...Interior trim pieces removal - Ford F150 Forum - Community of Ford Truck Fans
