Intake style question

All things being equal (cam profile-like a 252 or beyond, head work, machine work, manual trans, etc) and money not being an issue, which of the following efi intake setups would A) you prefer, B) make the most power, C) be most efficient, and D) be the least headache and 4 letter word inducing to tune?

Factory intake/throttle body/computer with an aftermarket piggyback tuner like a Megasquirt

Factory intake/throttle body with '96 MAF and computer

Carb intake w/ aftermarket throttle body EFI

The '96 OBD II setup might get you a more 'universal' tune-ability? It should be easier to at least monitor on your phone or laptop.

I would think the '96 setup would be the way to go. I believe they are sequential, each fuel injector sprays when needed, not a batch fire like the older ones. With the MAF meter it should handle modifications better. Also makes using a E4OD much easier, support for controlling the transmission is built in (assuming correct computer).

I would stay away from the carb intake. Having the injectors somewhere near the cylinders rather than how far away on top of the intake manifold should make it more powerful and efficient, and removes the need to heat the intake.
