Question tires vs PSD computer

Talked to a suspension shop about leveling my 99PSD 6spd 4x4 so I could run bigger tires (285 75 16 or 315 75 16). They said it would mess up my computer and I would end up with all kinds of problems. This sounds crazy to me. Its a standard so shift points aren't an issue and you would think the motor would just see a little more load no different than having some weight in the back.

Thanks for any input. Eckart

I think they're yanking your chain, especially considering you have a manual trans. The total difference in diameter between the stock 265 and the 315 in only 2.7 inches, give or take. I doubt you would even notice a difference with the 285 or 305, may notice a little with the 315.
