After Fill-up - Inconsistent DTE Readings
What may cause my DTE readings to be so inconsistent after each fill up? The past 3 range between:
444 Miles (the highest I've ever seen)
345 Miles (about average)
304 Miles (very low)

The post-fillup DTE will vary based on recent computed fuel economy. If you were drivin' around town with cold engine, then the DTE will be relatively low. If you were cruisin' down the highway lightly loaded for a while at a legal speed, then the DTE will be relatively high.

When towing a camper I average between 10 and 13 mpg, which translates to about 500 miles per tank (or a starting 500 miles DTE). When I unhook and fill the tank, my DTE will stay at about 500, but as I drive (getting about 20 mpg), the DTE will climb.
So, driving empty with a fresh fill up, I might see 500 miles DTE, but after driving 100 miles it will be showing 860 miles DTE.
