Brake line question

I installed a 9” rearend in my 1977 f100 and have a problem now. The first picture is the line coming off the rearend and the second is the line coming off the truck. How do I make them connect?!

I’ve never seen a hard line for brakes that has a female end like that. All hard brake lines usually terminate in a male with a double flare.

That is unusual, but just go down to any auto parts store and grab a double male inverted flare adapter.

Yes a double male coupling is what you need. I remember on mine the flexible piece coming from the axle vent clips into a bracket. On the MC side of the bracket, it is connected to the hard line coming from MC with the double male.

While your in there you should go ahead and replace the flexible line. Looks pretty chaffed.
