Angry Trusting people

I thought you would be able to trust the people on this site. Maybe I am nieve but though we were all in the hobby together. Anyway Beware when dealing with people when buying parts.Iwas ripped off . Watch out when dealing with a guy named George Louis or Cheryl Ahert as they ripped me off told me my brake cailper brackets got sent back, told them to return my money and never sent it or parts back. I would like to thank a guy named Brian Bordwell though he sent parts I needed no problem very nice and honest will deal with him again. Just wanted to let the members know.

It is a slippery slope when it comes to trusting people. Maybe in the future just send 1/2 the money up front? Put 1/2 the trust on the other person shipping it? What are these people FTE usernames? Post them for the community to see. Sorry to see that this happened, I'd be PMing and visitor messaging them for sure.

I had to email hound a guy for 2 years, over a aftermarket steering wheel.... but he finally got his life straightened out and paid up + some extra. Thanks again Ron.

On the Internet, it is better not to trust anyone, especially when conducting any kind of trading relationship. And the people that deceived you, let the administration deal with them, I hate deception

As far as Internet relationships dealing/involving money, yes do not be catfished or scammed. Do not let a guy have his "shipper" come pick it up and offer to pay you more money for the part.

As far as FTE folks, I have had a awesome time wheeling and dealing parts with everyone. In all the years all but 2 worked out and they just failed to pay for the parts provided. The one just took a while, but he got his life lined out and paid up. The last one....well....I tracked his DAD down and we got that situation worked out. lol

And yes for the most part we are not talking a ton of money, but more on the principal of being decent honest human and standing by your word. And besides we are Ford Truck Enthusiasts, not scum bag dead beats that do not pay for parts.

Tracked down his father? LOOOL
And so you say the thing, the main thing is not money, but decency. After all, what is money? This is paper, and decency is a human trait.

You bet I did, after a few emails I could tell he was a youngster. Not that that means anything, just saying. So after he failed to pay up, I just used his mailing address to track him down. A bit of Google, Address, Real Estate web site, got a name, got a land line # called it and ended up talking to the guys dad.

A bit after that the kid calls me, we talk and get it worked out. I even gave him some advice on getting a government/military contractor gig. I am sure by now he has sold the Bronco and is riding the bus to work at McD's. Not that there is any thing wrong with that either, just saying. lol

I do not sale truck parts to make a living, just support my truck habit. And I do it to help out fellow Ford truck people. If I sold them for a living or to 100% support my truck habit/hobby I would be starving with nothing running. Loosing the 10 bucks, did not break me, if it did I need to quite selling parts then.

Money is money, but what is 10 bucks.... 3 beers or one scratcher. Maybe 5 if you buy 5 of the 2 buck ones. If you live your life around the all mighty dollar, you are not having that much fun in life. IMO

Wisely said. But 3 cans of beer is already something for me)
They will deceive me by $ 10 or $ 100, I will be equally offended. I don’t like this feeling when you allow you to circle yourself around your finger

At first I was interested in the first few responses, but then I became almost ill reading the vitriol spelled out against other people.
All of that person's comments has nothing to do with Ford Trucks.
I have "no dog in the fight", and am offended by your suggestion.
I think it offends all reasonable people!
I reported it...hopefully a super mod deletes it very soon!
