4&8 yes only codes are 111 and 10 on ether computer. Could the code reader be bad ? A friend is bringing his over this afternoon, guess I'll know then,
Many code readers interpret the separator flash as Code 10.
So just to be sure: you are getting Code 111 (twice) for KOEO, then Code 10 (separator flash), then Code 111 (twice) for Stored Code display?
The Keep Alive Memory (KAM) power comes into the PCM on Pin 1. If the circuit is open the CM codes will be dumped every time you shut off the ignition. That is the only way I know of to have an active CEL, but no stored codes. Especially given you put in a different computer.
Code 512 ( EEC battery powered Keep Alive Memory (KAM) test failed.) will be triggered if the KAM circuit is open, but it's stored in CM so it's a chicken and egg syndrome.
Thanks again rla, found wire on the plug just hanging by a couple of strands, fixed that and took it for a drive, now both readers give a 571. Not sure we would have found that without your input! Thanks again!
