it was the fuse all the gauges are functioning normally.
I have a Hayes published in 98 and it does not have a fuse diagram and the lettering on the cover plate is to small for these old eyes.
I think it was the only fuse I didnt pull.
As for the alt
It puts out 14v not matter whats turned on or off. It has me leary, I don't think it should, I am I correct?

Thanks again Not Enough,
I checked my van and it has the 130 amp alt in it and it charges 14v all the time, I was worried about that as I'm use to the old stuff that varies.
