Continue driving like that, you're gonna kill someone or wind up in Jail. One or the other. Driving like everyone else is no fun? What do you think? You think you own the road? We're all annoying because we're there sharing your road with you? Grow up! You really like to drive that fast... then drive on a racetrack, not the roads.
Add to that the fact that he has openly and publicly acknowledged the fact that he dries very fast. He could be in some deep doo-doo one day if he ever were to have an accident, especially one related to excessive speed. Lawyers have knack for digging up everything that could be used against you.
Not to flame you, but you need to work in an ER for a little while. It can be a real eye opener.
Truer thoughts could not be expressed. I love to go fast, spin them tires, pull donuts, and generally drive like a fool. There are places to do that kind of stuff where only I am at risk. Otherwise, just watch it on TV.

I sold my car partly because I cant drive "safely" when I have something "sporty" hence the reason I doubt I'll actually drive a crotch rocket (a cruiser would be more then sufficient) and the same reason I doubt I will buy anything but a truck anytime soon even if I have the money to buy whatever I want. Race car? Maybe at the race track.
As for chevy drivers, maybe I'm a jerk but I find if someone is trying to get out in a busy area (I live in a tourist area) I'm more likely to let them out in front of me if they are driving a ford then anything else lol. If its not a truck I dont usually let them in anyway.
Oh and when I am following "typical" truck drivers (like pickup trucks) I give them tons of room in front and its a nice driver, I generally like people that drive anything that they think is a race car/truck on city streets.
And RDBaron do you actually own that truck or did your parents buy it for you? I'm 20 and I have bought all my own vehicles and pay the high insurance...if you drive like that with your parents insurance, maybe you should get your own insurance and truck you can afford...you might drive differently.
As far as chebbys driving worse than anyone else I have to agree, they do seem to be shuvy anyone passes me up doing 20 over speed limit I can almost tell you before I even see them that they are driving a chebby.
Now as far as driving fast, I do drive well over speed limit sometimes, but only when the road is clear and there is almost NO ONE around. I almost never pass, unless the person is doing 10-15 under the speed limit then I do pass. If I am racing at 85 in a 65 zone and I see traffic I slow back down to whatever traffic is doing which in a 65 zone is 70-75. I don't mind people racing on the roads as long as they do it when there is little to no traffic and are not weaving in and out. You can drive well above speed limit and still be safe, all it takes is some commen sense which I am sad to say, there are alot of people lacking commen sense.

I just got home from school and noticed I posted that wrong, I meant to say "I give them tons of room in front and its a nice driver, I generally dislike drivers that drive anything that is/they think is a race car/truck on city/highway streets.
There are a ton of guys with old 32' coupes and roadsteres that have blown v8's that could probably toast any production "race car" in a 1/4 mile that dont drive anywhere near the speed limit in the city! They just like to show off there cars.
Anyway just wanted to clear that up, though it was probably obvious what I meant.
This is interesting. I just got off of the One Lap of America board after reading about some serious speed freaks talking about the same subject. Not that im busting on the Lap Dogs because I plan on running the event in 2006. But after reading the blatent ignorence of one guy who by the way drives a Vette. Bragging how he ran above 160 mph between tracks on the high way makes me sick. It makes me mad that people can be so dumb at times. Myself I am no saint. Im 22 and have had my fair share of speeding tickets. Most for pidly 10mph over, going with the "flow". My biggest eye opener was going 98 in a 55. Yeah very stupid, I was 17 and behind the wheel of my muscle car (75 Duster). I paid about $300 on that one. Now since im a bit older and more mature I keep my speeding to a minimum. Plus being in the military I try to not make a "bad" name for my servise.
If speeding is such an issue then why dont they make cars that can only go a certain speed. Wouldnt that keep accidents down, some would say? I feel more in danger in traffic going 55-60 then I do going 75 by myself on a open road.
It is easy to point the finger at someone as they zoom past you. It comes down to what everyone has brought up, common sense. Some people were born with it, others, left out on the secret.
Living in the North West I see more bad drivers not going the speed limit then the ones speeding. I can say I see more "ricers" racing along I-5 more then anyone.
Makes you wonder why the automobile was even made? Speed, from point A to point B.
If your going 10 20 or even 30 over on a road with no one on it and no houses...I wouldn't know you were doing that so it wouldn't bother me.
What bothers me is when people tail gate and cut people off.
The two biggest reasons accidents happen : People tail gate to avoid being cut off and then there vehicle cant stop as quickly as the one in front of them and you get a domino effect.
Thats why I wave my arms and scream like a lunatic when a honda civic, pontiac sunfire or ford focus cut me off and slam on the brakes. I had plent of time to stop, now I have less then half the time. And my truck doesn't stop that quick (It happened the other day to me in the rain!!!!!!)
If people would just leave lots of room, only pass when necessary and not drive like there wifes having a baby in the backseat every second of there lives (ie; leave in plenty of time to make it to work so you can drive the speed limit!) I often wonder if they LOWERED the speed limit 5-10mph would people drive the speed of the speed limits now? Is it just human nature to abuse the "law" makes people feel good to break it?
Nope. What I noticed was that people in cheap econoboxes tend to be the worst, fast tailgaters. Example: Chevette, Civic, Ford Tempo, little Subarus, cars in this class.
maybe it is a college town thing.
People in big luxury fords, chevy caprices and trucks generally don't do that.
carpe: I thought so to (about the big cars) till I saw a girl weaving in and out of traffic less then a month ago. I'll admit I haven't seen that often, but man I was like JEEZ someone get her a geo metro she's going to kill someone!!!

ok i never said i think i own the road, but yes i was implying that driving slow is for the most part, boring. besides i never said i drive like this on a daily basis did i?? no. 90% of the time i go with the flow of traffic, wether that be 65mph or 80mph, just every once in a while i like to have a little fun.
And RDBaron do you actually own that truck or did your parents buy it for you?
yes i own my truck and by the way this is rdbaron03's roommate. its not a 1 ton ford on all terrains, ita a lifted 89 suburban on 36" swampers. but the 125mph was in my 2wd gmc pickup on 30" street tires made to spin that fast.
did everyone flame the guy that said he hit 132mph in a superduty??
Little different story, then. Sorry for the flame. And yes, I would have flamed the guy had I seen the thread. Before I finished reading the post, I remembered the Blazer in the photo and the thought of that thing going 120 mph got me a little perplexed. No hard feelings?
There is a group of people from 35-45 at work that drive "family cars" and admit to driving like idiots. I have a whole slew of tactics I've been developing for tailgaters, and anyone that tries to own the road. *taking law in school is very helpful, when I find out whats not allowed I make sure I behave, but when I find a loop hole beware idiots. I may just stoop to your level* Anyway the one girl drives 150KM/h in a malibu down a twisty highway with kids in the car. I think those kids might actually be better off without a mother (at least they have a chance at living longer )
I have a great tactic for tailgaters. My trailer brake makes the brake lights go on when I push it. So, when anyone decides they'd like to tailgate me, I just hit that a few times and they usually back off. Otherwise, if something were to happen where they couldn't stop in time, they'd get a nice taste of my hitch, which has happened twice already.
