Cab chassis wheel base

Have a 1967 f250 4wd that my great grandpa bought off the lot in 67 as a cab chassis. And it looks like on the frame they lengthened it 6in before and after the axle. And I was wandering what was the wheel base of a cab chassis truck?

I feel your pain, I just got done "unlengthening" the frame on my 67 4x4.

Well if the frame was lengthened there was three things that were changed from factory. The wheels, the frame, and the full time hubs to hubs from a Early 90’s ford truck. It even still has the plastic cover for where the radio would be if it had one. It only has 39k miles on it and I know it has the 5 digit odometer. The truck was used as a farm truck and hauled a camper up to Alaska every few years or so until 1995.

If you look at the Warranty plate on the driver's door it will tell you what wheelbase Ford built it with.

1967/72 F250 2WD/4WD Regular Cab: The wheelbase is 131." It makes no difference if it's a Cab & Chassis or with 8' Flareside & Styleside beds.

Ya I wasn’t sure cause the drive line looks like it has never been changed. And I heard you could pretty much option a truck to what you wanted. And I just wanted to make sure

Well I’m ok with the wheel base being longer. Cause it just got done hauling 3500 pounds and didn’t even squat...and it’s been siting about 2006. 300ci, 4 speed, and 4.56’s are a grate set up for towing

1967/72: The F350 has a longer wheelbase than F100/250's w/8' beds. The Flareside "Express" bed used only on 1953/72 F350's is 9' long.

Mrpotatohead’s truck is 28 inches longer then a stock f250. So I don’t think a 9 foot bed would work.

That's true for "regular production" F250's Bill. Not necessarily D.S.O. trucks. Which is why I suggested OP look at his warranty plate.
Come to think of it, I'm curious as to what a Marti Report would say on this rig.

But the OP failed to post a pic of the Warranty Plate, or any codes from it. Hasn't chimed in what the wheelbase is, so I went with what would have been standard w/a 2 digit DSO

Living in Phoenix Arid-Zona, you have an advantage, you can whiz over to El Mirage and visit Marti in person.

And it’s supposed to have a 131 in wheelbase (post #6: I told you this) but it’s been lengthened, but the DSO is: 74

74 = Seattle WA Ford District Sales Office, where the original selling dealer ordered the truck from.

Since the DSO code is only 2 digits, the truck was not a Domestic Special Order.
