Need to find some wheels???
I just found this site the other day and figured I'd ask in here for what I'm looking for. If this is in the wrong forum please remove.
I'm looking for a set of factory wheels for a 98 Nascar Edition F150. I bought the truck a few weeks ago and it has everything but the wheels & tires that came on it from the factory. If anyone knows where some wheels are since the tires are no longer available please let me know if they are for sale?
Thank You in advance.
. I'd really like to try to keep the truck original so thats why I'm still on the look out for the factory wheels.I've seen a few "look a likes" but I'm a stickler for doing things right...
There is a set of tires on Ebay right now but they are 225's I need 255's...http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2432599906
I've heard that Goodyear still makes the Nascar tire but its only available in white letters..so when I get the wheels I might look into getting those.
I think I can help with your wheel and tire question.
Not alot of people know this but our black rims are actually used on Lincoln Navigators. Weird huh? It's true, the only difference is that ours are powder coated black. You can probably find a set of stock Navigator rims of E-Bay real cheap since lots of guys get rid of the stock rims on those monster SUV's. The only problem you will have is getting the little red stripe around the rim. Try and buy a set of Navigator rims off E-Bay and see of you can paint them or maybe get someone else to.
As for wheels, here's my little secret. When I bought my truck I had the right wheels but they had white lettering which really disapointed me. But one day i had an idea. In my garage was a can of yellow spray paint. I thought maybe i could try putting they spray paint on my letter somehow. So I decided to get a few Q-Tips, spray some paint in the spray paint cap, and dip the Q-Tips in the paint and apply to the letters. The idea worked out perfectly. It was amazing how that little can of 5 dollar spray paint could change the look of my truck so much. The first thing the people spot on my truck is my yellow letters, they get everyones attention.
Anyways, hope these things hepled out bro. Good luck on trying to restore your NASCAR Edition, they really are worth it.

I called Ford and they are still available but at a cost of $319.00 per wheel and $24.99 per cap...And since they are powdercoated I guess thats the route I'm going to have to take.
I seen that Goodyear still makes the Nascar Eagle #1 tire but its in white letter only , guess I'll get a little creative with the yellow lettering..., thanks for the tip.
