2003 XT Tach placement
My 2003 XT F150 4.2 5-speed is now four days old. I like it, except I am trying to find a place to mount a tachometer. There is no flat spot on the dash to cut in and flush mount one. I thought about getting a pillar mount kit, except they require a 2" gauge, and I can't find a 2" tach. I don't want to mount a big Sun Tach on the top of the dash. Does anyone have a suggestion as to where to mount one? I don't mind cutting into the dash or whatever if it will allow me to make a good looking install.

I had a 2000 F150 xl with the 5 speed and always wanted a tach, but it was a lease and didn't want to cut into the dash. Anyway, check out the Auto Meter website, they have some mini-tachs that should fit the pillar pods.
