Somehow the bracket that holds the gas pedal rod to the firewall under the firewall pad has cracked and broken, making the truck basically undrivable for the time being. I have no junkyards with these trucks in them unless there is an 80s vehicle with an interchangeable part. When I looked at the exploded diagram I couldn’t pinpoint the part number either. Has anyone ever had to replace it? Where’d you get it from. Thanks.
DVAP or Desert Valley Auto 1-800-905-8024 Parts has trucks that they maybe able to pull an assembly from. I used them for an entire cab for my 68 and they even arranged the shipping to Pa so I can tell you they were good guys to work with. They sent more than 30 high res photos of the cab before I paid for it so they are good at making sure its what you want.
HIO Sliver i thought these pedal brackets where pot metal and can not be welded. maybe you could use some JB Weld on it.? however i have been known to be wrong once in a while.

I also think they are pot metal. If it was mine and I couldn't find one I also would be fabbing a new one from mild steel.
Seems an easy fab item that could be made better to not worry about ever again? Local welder or machine shop?

It’s a V8, that’s why I used the V8 picture
What year is the truck, what engine? I deleted your V8 pic, replaced it with the 6 cylinder pic:
1967/72 F100/350 240/300 use the same pedal assy: C7TZ-9725-AC (1 available NOS) .. 1967/72 V8's use several different types.

Now JB is an idea for temporary purposes. Not sure how long it will hold it.

Same thing happened to my '69 on the day i bought it on the way home, the accelerator fell to the floor making the carb go WIDE OPEN ! Talk about "pucker factor 10" hence she will always be called "Lucky". I came up with a shade tree fix until I could find a good used one, not pretty but worked.

That's very cool. Nice. I don't see why this wouldn't be am almost permanent repair.
