never thought id hear this
last week i was riding with one of my friends in his 83 chevy 1/2 ton. And he (Ben) has always been a diehard chevy guy like me a diehard ford guy. Anyway he were on our way to get some cattle feed when our conversation of dirt track racing, leads him to addmitting that Ford motors last longer than chevys i was shocked but silently listened to what he saidchevys are more popular for sprint cars because they get up in RPMs faster, and that more people build chevys because there cheaper to build but Fords will last longer and make more power at lower RPMs. now what do u think of that i almost thought i was dreaming.

Most of that is true. Chevy motors are really cheap to build because they made a blue zillion of them, same with the parts for the chevy engines. Between the 50s and the late 90s there had to be about 1.4*10^100 350 chevy's made.

Among a lot of small block circles the 302 is one of the most popular motors. I guess that DOHC 4.6L also has some racing clout, I never would have thought that but what the heck.
