I'm working on finishing up my CV swap and have picked up a 1973 steering column with no shift or key. I'm relocating the shifter to the floor and wanted a column without any unsightly protrusions. Question, will the stock 1961 steering wheel mate safely to the splines on the 1973 column? I test fitted and it seems to interlock, however, I'm concerned maybe its not engaging deep enough on the splines to be safe. Anyone tried this?
