Motor?

whats the power difference between the 5.4l 3v and 5.4l 4v?
I have a 2095 lariat will the 4v bolt right in w my tranny and computer? I need a new motor. Or should I stay w the 3v? Thanks alot

You must mean a 2005 3v

The 4v was used in lincoln's etc but not in f150s . Should have more power but I don't know that the computer would live with it controlling the phasors etc . It would be nice to find out . I just looked at a f150 o3 that had a chevy motor and trans in it but they moved the computer with it and it was a rats nest of wires . Motor really powerful from a speed shop not quite dressed up yet . But it was running awesome .

Much easier to go from 2v to 4v than 3v to 4v. Imo it's not worth it whatsoever there is minimal to no power gain, and more costly valvetrain parts. You're better off just buying cams, tune, exhaust, or forced induction.
