02 f150 engine swap need help.

Hi my name is chris. I have a 02 f150 4x4 xlt with the 5.4 in it. I picked up a 02 lighting motor up for cheap I am wanting to put it my truck and i wasnt sure it if it would work. if it does work what parts will i need to put it in my truck.

Yes it will most definitely work!

First thing you need to do is beef up your tranny!
Then , depending on what all came with the motor , you will need most of this list.

Then you will need a good custom tune for your computer to make it run.

its a complete motor with the computer also. thanks for the help.

You wont be able to use the Lightning computer.
You need to use your stock computer and have it tuned to run the L motor.

o i didnt know that.what about the wiring harness

They say you can use your stock wire-harness ,but I think you have to splice in 1 or 2 wires.
Not sure how because I used a Lightning engine wire-harness.
