6 Weeks until Flatlanders Truckfest
Just a reminder, Flatlanders Truckfest is 27th & 28th of April 2018 in Grafton, Illinois. 
Getting a little worried because there are still rooms and cabins available. Contact Pere Marquette and ask for the “FTE GROUP”. http://www.pmlodge.net/
I’ve purposely left events open so we can relax and enjoy our hobby and each other. I figure many of you will be arriving Friday so I didn’t set up anything that day. I figured Saturday we’d do a cruise down to the St Louis Arch in the afternoon some time. Sunday we’ll be heading home during the day. There are pleanty of rooms available if you all want to stay longer. There’s pleanty to do in Alton, Illinois or across the river in the areas surrounding St Louis, MO.
Let me know if you need help or want to know specifics about something you’d like to visit.

I was really looking forward to attending this event but I regret its not in the cards for me to make it. Change of jobs and other life's BS is getting in the way. I'm really regret not being able to make it. I know, there's always another one but I'm sure something will get in the way then also.

Not sure who all will attend. I only got a response from 52USCGPANEL telling me their coming. I thought that the Venue and Date were both appropriate for kicking off a new season but maybe not.

It’s with a sad heart that I am pulling the plug on Flatlanders Truckfest this year. It was solely due to lack of interest. Maybe it was; the venue, too early, no interest in a Mid West get together, a distaste for having to negotiate St Louis. But I tried and had info out (almost a year) in pleanty of time for any and all that wanted to come to make arrangements and participate.
I would still entertain suggestions and would try to put an event together if you all show interest.
We really are missing out because while driving over to cancel today everything is starting to sprout, the migratorybirds were passing thru and the big muddy (Mississippi) was in it’s glory with car ferry’s and barges going across and up and down it.
