Rear end problem
I have a 2006 Ford explorer and it wouldn't start so I unhooked the starter wire and hooked it back up. 3 days later all my lights come on (abs, service engine, gas cap, ect.). I drove it for two days and the lights came on and back off and on again. Then I try to leave the store and it feels like the rear end is locking up and would only drive or roll while idleing. When I hit the gas it feels like the brakes are on and all the warning lights come on. 4x4 and traction control are now coming on too and the back tires are locking up so bad that it's not drivable. It will only move without locking up if you let it idle, once you hit the gas it feels like the brakes are being applied half way and all lights come on (Abs, 4x4, traction control, ect. Please any idea will be a good one because I have never delt with a rear end problem

well, I don't see a rear axle problem do to all the lights showing on the dash.. You have some electrical problem, maybe a shorted wire or two. I don't know enough to push you in the right direction ... but I would look at ANY electrical plugs you removed, clean them and make sure all the pins are straight and back together properly.. If all you did was take off a starter wire, I don't see the relationship ? ................ maybe take off the + battery cable ... turn on head light switch to drain any memory, then reinstall and see if problem is still present ?
