Gas tank ventilation issue?

On my 95 F150, every time I go to fill my front gas tank gas spews out of it. The pumps seem to get confused and not stop, or stop all the time when refueling. This always happens to me even when the tank is at a quarter full. I have an idea that it may be the tank venting lines, but how do I locate/fix them? Never had something like this happen before. Happened since I bought the truck, just never bothered with it.... When I do use it the tank works just fine, by the way.

I find I have to pull the nozzle back a little when filling the tank and maybe throttle back, as well. I've always felt the problem was with the bends in the filler neck creating a restriction and splash back that triggers the auto shut-off. The tank itself should vent through a charcoal canister, or some form of vapour collector, but that system would not be able to deal with volume of air being displaced by filling operations. I think you just have to slow down, and/or pull the nozzle back out a little bit to improve the flow characteristics in the filler neck.

Auxiliary tank selector valve I believe is the name of the part but I can't remember for sure so don't hold me to it. 87-91 models had a recall for this part in the mid 90s because it did this. I had it do the same to me on my 88 but with the rear tank. It cost about $200 for the part so unfortunately, not a cheap fix. I did it myself, it was a straight forward process. Just don't mix up the fuel lines when putting back together.

His truck doesn't have one of those.

You probably have a kinked hose. Check both of them for clogs or kinks.

So for a temporary fix to both a cross flow problem and a leaking front tank. The front tank is the one receiving the fuel when the rear is in use, if I delete the front tank and plug the lines will the fuel still be sent down the front return line causing a further issue or without the front pump active will the rear then properly return fuel?
Thanks in advance.
