Ford F350 DEF system problems
Whilst driving the the truck down to the dealership to make a trade and pick up a new truck the F350 went into idle mode with no warning. I managed to limp it into a local mechanics and have been told that the whole DEF system needs to be replaced.
This is going to cost around $2500 and by doing this it means I am unable to trade the truck in as the dealership has now dropped the trade in price dramatically. I am extremely stressed out and am unsure what to do.

Monitor execution
P20EE - Once per driving cycle
P207F – Continuously (while entry conditions are met)
Sure doesn't sound like the whole DEF system needs replaced. Can you have it towed to another mechanic?
2011-2016 F-Super Duty, 2016 F650-750 and 2015-2016 Transit vehicles equipped with Diesel engines may exhibit DTCs P207F and/or P20EE stored in Powertrain Control Module (PCM) memory if high sulfur diesel (500ppm or Red Dye off-road fuel 500 ppm) is used. Note: Use of high-sulfur fuel can cause damage to Nox sensors,DPF and SCR Catalyst components. Use of Ultra Low Sulfur(15 ppm) number 1-D or 2-D diesel fuel is recommended for use on designed diesel engines. Using high sulfur diesel fuel in a diesel engine designed to only use Ultra Low Sulfur Dieselfuel may cause certain emission components to malfunction, turning on the MIL light indicating an emissions-related concern, turn on “DEF System Fault” messagein the instrument cluster and limiting the vehicle speed.
