Inner cab corner idea
I trimmed the outer panel close to the size I wanted. It's always easier to trim the panel again then to try and put some back on.
I used the trimmed panel to mark out how much to remove, then remove a smaller section. Again it's better to take baby steps I didn't want to screw up.
With enough room to get to every thing I drilled out all of the spot welds. kind of a pain, I spent a lot of time with my hammer and a cold chisel getting the inner panel out. I figure it would be a better template to build off of.
I didn't make any cuts on this one. I figured I would work it out and I think this side came out better. I flattens some of the profile and put my fist bend in.
Now its time to decide how much of the bend to leave. So I went ahead and fit the outer panel to the actual size before I went any further. With the outer fitting nice I trimmed the inner and screwed it in place.
Next thing was to mark out where the rosette welds would be. Tried to put them in places that I could weld. Now it was time to prep for the install. Any place that would not be accessible was primed with weld thru primer or coated with OSPHO.
With the Inner Panel welded in it was time to step back and look at things.
Seam sealed.
